Overall average crop conditions recorded in mid-July

July 29, 2019

By July 19th, the rainfall was recorded continuously in the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan and Chongqing, and the crops in Southern China were affected by the  flooding and lack of radiation. Below the five years average crop conditions during this period were verified most in the central and north of China including Henan, Shandong, Shanxi and north of Shaanxi due to the relatively high radiation and less rainfall recorded. The shortage of rainfall since sowing of summer crops hampered the early development of the crops. Northeast China and the provinces of  Gansu, Ningxia Hui, Anhui and Jiangsu presented favourable crop conditions.
